Day 1
Colombo → Pinnawala → Kandy
Depart Colombo in the morning towards the central hills. Stop en route to visit elephants before arriving in the hill capital of Kandy.
- Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage / Millennium Elephant Transit
- Explore Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa)
- Witness a live traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance
Day 2
Kandy → Nuwara Eliya
Morning walk through lush botanical gardens followed by a winding mountain drive up to Ceylon's tea country and "Little England".
- Stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya
- Drive through tea plantations, visit Ramboda Waterfalls & Ceylon tea factory
- Explore Nuwara Eliya, Gregory Lake, and Victoria Park
Day 3
Nuwara Eliya → Kitulgala → Colombo
Discover colonial architecture in Nuwara Eliya before descending through lush valleys and white-water rivers back to the coastline.
- Morning sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya town & iconic Post Office
- Descend via Kitulgala (white-water rafting hub & film site of Bridge on the River Kwai)
- Evening transfer back to Colombo hotel or BIA Airport
